For the first time, the Delhi airport breached the 6 crore passenger and handled 6.35 crore passengers in 2017 which makes it to around 1.5 to 2 lac passenger per day, so suppose if 50 % of all the traveler book a taxi at least 75000 to 1 lac taxi are required everyday on the airport itself, making it to the list of the top 20 busiest airports of the world and also great source of revenue earning for the local population.

The Indira Gandhi International Airport became the seventh most busiest in Asia. This year, it is expected to breach the 7 crores mark and will operating beyond its capacity.

This is a huge business opportunity for taxi business as well as most of the passengers enjoy the luxury of taxi.

Over the last seven years, Delhi airport’s traffic has almost doubled and its share of transfer passengers increased from 9.3% in 2010-11 to 20.5% in 2016-17.

The airport, which already has three runways, will also become the first in the country to have a fourth runway with construction likely to begin this year. Airport officials are expecting to commission the fourth runway by 2019, which will take the per hour capacity of Delhi airport from 75 flights to 96.
